About Dr. Lee

Dr. Paul Y. Lee, MD

I'm a board-certified psychiatrist with a medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY. I completed my psychiatry residency at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where I served as Chief Resident in my final year.

Since completing training, I've devoted my career to outpatient psychiatry, caring for veterans and individuals from all walks of life. My work has spanned inpatient units, crisis centers, and psychotherapy clinics, giving me a deep appreciation for the full spectrum of mental health needs. This breadth of experience has reinforced my belief that psychiatry works best when clinical rigor is paired with genuine human connection.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and four children and staying active in my local community. I value creating balance between work and family life - reflecting my philosophy that well-being is best supported by strong relationships, purposeful living, and attentive care.

"Wynd" Meaning

Meaning Behind "Wynd"
(pronounced like the breeze - "wind")

The name Wynd carries two layers of meaning.

First, it evokes the image of wind - a gentle, unseen force that can help move us forward when the path feels heavy. Second, in Old English the word wynd refers to a narrow, winding path, a reminder that life's journey often includes unexpected turns, yet remains filled with possibility.

At Wynd Psychiatry, I see my role as walking alongside patients on their individual paths - offering steady support and gentle guidance as they take the next steps forward.
