About Dr. Lee

Dr. Paul Y. Lee, MD

I am a board-certified psychiatrist with a medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY. I completed my psychiatry residency at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where I served as Chief Resident in my final year.

Since completing training, I have focused on outpatient psychiatry, caring for adults navigating mood and anxiety-related concerns. My experience across inpatient units, crisis settings, and psychotherapy clinics has shaped a steady, deliberate approach to care - grounded in careful evaluation, thoughtful medication management, and attention to the person behind the symptoms.

I believe effective psychiatric care requires both clinical rigor and genuine human connection. Care should be structured and collaborative, with space for careful listening and practical next steps. My goal is not simply symptom reduction, but long-term stability and clarity.

Outside of work, I value time with my wife and four children and staying engaged in my local community. Maintaining balance between professional responsibility and family life reflects my broader belief that well-being grows from strong relationships, purposeful living, and attentive care.

"Wynd" Meaning

Meaning Behind "Wynd"
(pronounced like the breeze - "wind")

The name Wynd carries two meanings.

It evokes the wind - a quiet, unseen force that can help move us forward when things feel heavy.

In Old English, wynd refers to a narrow, winding path - a reminder that life often unfolds through unexpected turns.

At Wynd Psychiatry, my role is to offer steady guidance along that path - providing structure, clarity, and support as patients move toward greater stability.
